    The 3M™ Plain Sample Bag is a sample collection bag made with heavy duty polyethylene (PE) tubing with a wire tie to provide secure closure.

    These tough PE bags are designed to meet stringent laboratory testing needs and have the strength needed to endure the sample preparation process. The tear-off top ensures the inside of the bag is free of contamination until ready for use. Once the desired sample has been added, the open top is folded over itself and then the wire tie is bent over the fold to keep the contents of the bag from leaking. Considering the availability and variety of plastic films in existence, polyethylene (PE) is one of the safest and most versatile materials available. PE is chemically inert, does not transmit any residue or taste, making them the preferred material to meet many food safety and handling needs. PE is also impermeable to most other chemicals, including acids. Sample bags made of PE are suitable for a broad range of testing applications. The impermeable properties of the material ensure samples are uncompromised during transport to testing labs and are DNase, Rnase, Pyrogene free, to help preserve sample integrity.
