3M™ VHB™ Tape 5952 is a very conformable, double-sided, pressure-sensitive, closed-cell acrylic foam tape with a polyethylene (PE) film liner.
3M™ VHB™ Acrylic Foam Tape is comprised of closed-cell foam with pressure-sensitive adhesive on two sides. This unique combination offers benefits that screws, rivets, welds and other types of mechanical fasteners just can’t match. In many situations they can replace other permanent fasteners. It is made with acrylic foam which is viscoelastic in nature. This gives the foam energy absorbing and stress relaxing properties which provides these tapes with their unique characteristics. The acrylic chemistry provides outstanding durability performance. 3M™ VHB™ Tape 5952 bonds high, medium and medium/low surface energy substrates. It has good adhesion to many painted surfaces, including powder coated paint, and provides handling convenience, cushioning, damping and impact resistance.
