3M™ VHB™ Tape 4905 is a 20 mil thick clear, double-sided, pressure-sensitive, acrylic tape with a polyethylene (PE) film liner.
3M™ VHB™ Tape is comprised of closed-cell foam with pressure sensitive adhesive on two sides. This unique combination offers benefits that screws, rivets, welds and other types of mechanical fasteners just can’t match. In many situations, they can replace other permanent fasteners. They are made with acrylic foam which is viscoelastic in nature. This gives the foam energy absorbing and stress relaxing properties which provides these tapes with their unique characteristics. The acrylic chemistry provides outstanding durability performance. The 3M™ VHB™ Tape 4905 is used primarily for sign and display fabrication because it provides high strength while also being clear. It bonds high surface energy substrates. Provides handling convenience, cushioning, damping, and impact resistance.
