Do not use on patients with known allergies to chlorhexidine gluconate. No recommendation can be made for the use of chlorhexidine gluconate on infants less than two months of age. Avoid contact with meninges, eyes, and inner ears as this may cause serious or permanent injury. If solution should contact these areas, rinse out promptly and thoroughly with water. Discontinue use if irritation and redness develops. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Centre immediately.
