3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive EC-2216 B/A - Translucent is a flexible, two-part, room-temperature curing epoxy adhesive that provides high shear and peel strength, making this an ideal adhesive for the most demanding aerospace applications. It maintains bond strength at low temperatures and stands up to challenging environmental conditions.
3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive EC-2216 B/A Translucent is excellent for bonding a variety of substrates such metals and many plastics. It can be dispensed in duo-pack cartridges for use with the 3M™ EPX Applicator System for minimal waste and professional results. The mix ratio is 1:1 and the adhesive provides a 120-minute work life to allow time to adjust fit prior to setting. The adhesive reaches handling strength in approximately 16 hours and is fully cured in 7 days (at 72° F /22° C) but can be accelerated with heat. This epoxy is excellent for creating bonds that can be used at cryogenic temperatures.
