3M™ Automotive Yellow Masking Tape 388N is a yellow crepe-paper tape designed specifically for the paint masking processes used in the collision repair industry. It features a rubber-based adhesive and flexible crepe-paper construction for excellent conformability and adhesion. This tape resists moisture, solvents and outdoor exposure.

Use 3M™ Automotive Yellow Masking Tape 388N for a variety of masking tasks including contours without tearing. It offers good conformability, so you can stretch and manipulate the tape to fit curves. The thin and flexible backing heightens the ability of the tape to conform. The proprietary rubber-based adhesiveof the tape delivers instant adhesion to a variety of automotive substrates including moldings, plastic, glass, metal, rubber and painted surfaces. This tape is specially-treated for solvent and moisture resistance which minimizes bleed through. 3M™ Automotive Yellow Masking Tape 388N can resist temperatures up to 250°F (121°C) for up to 30 minutes. After painting, the tape removes cleanly and easily — leaving behind no adhesive residue. 3M™ Automotive Yellow Masking Tape helps create smooth and precise paint jobs.
