3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Structural Adhesive EC-3984 is a version of 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Structural Adhesive Film AF in a sprayable liquid form. It delivers excellent performance up to 300°F (149°C). The structural adhesive is commonly used for bonding wire mesh on engine nacelles, thrust reversers, and acoustic panels for aircraft and aircraft engines.

3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Structural Adhesive EC-3984 combines the strength and performance of this 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Structural Adhesive Film AF with the convenience and efficiency of a spray for precise coating requirements or to cover larger areas economically and effectively. The sprayable formula can be used to hold screens or other components in place that need structural adhesive strength at elevated temperatures. Ideal for bonding wire mesh on engine nacelles, thrust reversers, and acoustic panels for aircraft and aircraft engines, the structural adhesive delivers reliable performance in temperatures up to 300°F (149°C). 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Structural Adhesive EC-3984 can be cured at temperatures as low as 225°F (107°C) and up to up to 350°F (177°C). The variable cure rate combined with the film's easy handling increases flexibility to design efficient processes.
