3M™ Acrylic Plus Tape EX4311 features an acrylic adhesive formulated for bonding to advanced clear coat systems including carbamates. The non-liner side features a different adhesive for a range of paints and surfaces. The viscoelastic foam core provides stress relaxation when exposed to high application loads, and maintains tight bond-line aesthetics under normal conditions.
Part of the 3M™ Acrylic Plus Tape Series EX4300 series developed specifically for attaching exterior trim and other parts to low surface energy (LSE) automotive paint surfaces, the 3M™ Acrylic Plus Tape EX4311 features a 1.14 mm acrylic foam core with two different adhesives, one for each side of the application. The liner-side adhesive is formulated for bonding to the most advanced LSE automotive clear coats, including those comprised of epoxy/acid powder, 2K urethane, acrylosilane and MVSS carbamate. This adhesive is also excellent for existing medium surface energy (MSE) paint systems. The non-liner-side adhesive is formulated for high initial adhesion to a variety of automotive substrates and coatings. The viscoelastic foam core conforms well even to complex geometries. It is engineered for stress relaxation when exposed to high-stress loads and maintains bond-line aesthetics under normal stress loads. The inconspicuous black colour of 3M™ Acrylic Plus Tape EX4311 helps ensure higher satisfaction among consumers.
