The 3M™ Glass Cloth Electrical Tape 79 is a printable tape used in coils/transformers and motor applications. It includes an outer wrap for bobbin wound coils, banding arbour wound coils, lead pad hold downs, end turns and lead anchors, as well as connections. This tape is 600V rated and withstands a temperature range of 32 to 302 °F (0 to 150 °C).
3M™ Glass Cloth Electrical Tape 79 is a 7-mil (0.178 mm) woven insulating glass cloth tape with an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive. This tape is used to electrically insulate and provide mechanical protection at temperatures to 311°F/155°C. This tape provides insulation and solvent-resistant protection for use as coil cover, anchor, banding and core, layer and crossover insulation. It is edge-tear resistant, conformable and printable. It also features an excellent absorption of resin and varnishes.
