Scotch® Self-Fusing Silicone Rubber Electrical Tape 70 is a high-temperature arc and track-resistant tape composed of self-fusing, inorganic silicone rubber with easy-tear and easy-strip liner.

The Scotch® 70 Self-Fusing Silicone Rubber Electrical Tape is used as a protective overwrap for terminating high voltage cables. It withstands temperatures up to 356 °F (180 °C).

Suggested applications

Pre-wrap, low and medium-voltage connections for clean re-entry. (e.g. motor lead connections or split-bolt connectors)
Overwrap for protection of terminating high-voltage cables against arcing and tracking
