Seamless and heat shrink insulated, the 3M™ Scotchlok™ Butt Connector is used to connect two single wires making an in-line splice. Its chamfered barrel ends provide fast easy wire insertion from both ends, and a built in wire stop ensures correct positioning. It must be crimped prior to applying heat to shrink the insulation. The seamless barrel is covered by an adhesive-lined polyolefin tubing to offer moisture-seal protection. It withstands a maximum temperature of 221 degrees Fahrenheit (105 degrees Celsius). Electrolytic copper construction offers good conductivity and a tin-plated finish resists corrosion. 3M™ Scotchlok™ Butt Connectors are UL Recognized, CSA certified, and RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant.

3M™ Scotchlok™ Heat Shrink Pre-Insulated Electrical Terminals help protect against challenging environments with quality moisture protection. The adhesive-lined heat shrink material, when properly crimped and shrunk, provides a seal resistant to water, salt, steam and other related contaminants. The adhesive-lined heat shrink tubing adheres, when shrunk, to both the connector and the wire insulation helping to provide improved pullout strength and strain relief. The tough heat shrink tubing helps to resist abrasions, scoring, cut-through and helps to prevent the effects of long-term aging. The connectors are colour coded for wire range identification and the transparent tubing allows for visual inspection.
