Scotch® 69 Glass Cloth Electrical Tape is a 7 mil glass cloth tape with a silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive. It helps provide heat-stable insulation for furnace and oven controls, motor leads, switches and is an ideal solution for electrical maintenance applications.

Scotch® 69 Glass Cloth Electrical Tape is a white glass cloth tape with a high-temperature, pressure-sensitive, silicone adhesive. It is designed for use in 600 volt dry location applications including motors and transformers with and without varnish coating. The thermosetting adhesive helps provide an increased bond once applied in areas of high ambient temperatures and also provides elevated temperature performance up to Class N 392°F (200° C) temperature rating. Scotch® 69 Glass Cloth Electrical Tape is UL Recognized (file E17385), CSA certified (file LR93411) and meets the requirements of Military Specification No. Mil-I-19166C.

Suggested applications
  • Used in a variety of coil/transformer and motor applications, including an outer wrap for bobbin wound coils, banding arbor wound coils, lead pad hold down, end turn and lead anchor and connection
  • Suited for high-temperature applications
  • Securing high-temperature, non-PSA insulation (such as asbestos and glass) in high-temperature areas
  • Securing Scotch® 77 Fire Retardant Electric Arc Proofing Tape
  • Splicing wire SF and SFF rated 302° F (150° C), 356° F (180° C)
  • Reinsulating and repairing coils on mining machines
