3M™ Cold Shrink Splice Jacket Kits SJ-A series offer advanced, one-piece, water-tight rejacketing for JCN cable splices. Designed as an accessory kit to rejacket over molded rubber splices, this product is made from a durable EPDM rubber.
Each kit contains enough material to jacket one cable splice; one 3M™ Cold Shrink Jacketing Tube and one roll of Scotch® Rubber Mastic Tape 2228.
Suggested applications
- To jacket medium voltage inline splices
- For use on JCN and other types of jacketed power cables
- Direct burial, aerial and submersible applications
- Physical protection and moisture sealing inline splices installed on shielded power cables having solid dielectric insulation as follows: polyethylene (high and low density), cross-linked polyethylene (XLP) and ethylene propylene rubber (EPR)
