3M™ Cold Shrink Jacket Kits offer advanced, one-piece, water-tight rejacketing for jacketed concentric neutral (JCN) cable splices.
3M™ Cold Shrink Jacket Kits are made from a durable and chloride and sulfur-free EPDM rubber, combining with Scotch® Rubber Mastic Tape 2228 to rejacket over moulded rubber splices.
Suggested applications
- Sealing over cable splices installed on jacketed concentric neutral (JCN) and other types of jacketed power cable
- Seal around cable ground conductor
- To jacket inline splices installed on Jacketed Concentric Neutral (JCN) Cables rated 15 - 35 kV
- Physical protection and moisture sealing inline splices installed on shielded power cables having solid dielectric insulation as follows: polyethylene (high and low density), cross-linked polyethylene (XLP) and ethylene propylene rubber (EPR)
