3M™ Cold Shrink Stacked Sleeve Splice Jacket Kits SJ-SS Series, offer two-piece, water-tight rejacketing for jacketed concentric neutral (JCN) cable splices. Made from a durable, and chloride and sulfur-free EPDM rubber, it combines with Scotch® Rubber Mastic Tape 2228 and Profile Bushing to provide a sealed jacket over cable splices installed on JCN and other types of jacketed power cable.

3M™ Stacked Sleeve Splice Jacket Kit includes open ended tubular rubber sleeves, Scotch® Rubber Mastic Tape 2228 and a profile bushing. The kit offers moisture tight sealing while maintaining its prolonged resiliency and pressure. The 2 piece design of the splice requires minimal space and ensures simple installation. RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant .

Suggested applications
  • To jacket inline splices installed on Jacketed Concentric Neutral (JCN) Cables rated at 15, 25 and 35 kV
  • For use at indoor and outdoor installations including direct burial, aerial and submersible applications
  • Physical protection and moisture sealing inline splices installed on shielded power cables having solid dielectric insulation as follows: polyethylene (high and low density), cross-linked polyethylene (XLP) and ethylene propylene rubber (EPR)
