3M™ Fire Barrier Cast-in Device Metal Deck Adaptor, 6MDA, 6 in (15.24 cm)

The 3M™ Fire Barrier Cast-in Device Metal Deck Adaptor 6MDA is used in conjunction with a 6-inch (152.4 mm) 3M™ Fire Barrier Cast-In Device. It allows the device to be installed on fluted metal decks (requires a minimum 4-1/2 in. (114.3 mm) concrete topping).

The 3M™ Fire Barrier Cast-in Device Metal Deck Adaptor 6MDA accommodates both metallic and non-metallic models of 3M™ Fire Barrier Cast-In Device. It is firestop tested for up to 3 hours, when used in conjunction with the appropriate 3M™ Fire Barrier Cast-In Device, in accordance with ASTM E 814 (UL 1479). The 3M™ Fire Barrier Cast-in Device Metal Deck Adaptor 6MDA is designed for use with up to 2 inch diameter (38.1 mm to 152.4 mm) metallic or non-metallic pipe penetrations. The red colour is easily identifiable as fire-rated. The 3M™ Fire Barrier Cast-in Device Metal Deck Adaptor 6MDA is typically used in new installations when the floor assembly is concrete poured over a fluted metal deck.
