3M™ Petroleum Sorbent Mini-Boom, T-12, 76 mm x 3.7 m (3 in x 12 ft)

The 3M™ Petroleum Sorbent Mini-Boom is used to surround spills and "sorb" hydrocarbon-based liquids (oleophilic) and repel aqueous-based liquids (hydrophobic). This boom helps prevent leaks and spills from spreading to adjacent surfaces.

3M™ Petroleum Sorbent Mini-Boom is used to encircle spills and to contain leaks. It is selective sorbent, which will "sorb" hydrocarbon-based liquids (oleophilic) and repel aqueous-based liquids (hydrophobic). A 3-inch (7.6 cm) diameter scrim on the outside of the boom identifies the use while containing particulate sorbent material. 3M™ Petroleum Sorbent Mini-Boom is 8 feet (2.4 m) in length. A case weighs 12 pounds (5.4 kg). Each case contains 6 booms (each 3 inches (7.6 cm) in diameter by 8 feet (2.4 m)) which will sorb 2 gallons (9 litre) each.
