3M™ Scotchlok™ Electrical Insulation Displacement Connector electrically connects a (tap) wire end to a through (run) wire and insulates the connection. It is flame retardant and is used for tape and parallel splicing. This connector features a maximum insulation O.D. diameter of 0.145 inches (3.68 mm) and an operating temperature of 221 degrees Fahrenheit (105 degrees Celsius). The suggested application tool for the 3M™ Scotchlok™ Electrical Insulation Displacement Connector, 560, is the 3M™ Scotchlok™ Crimping Tool, E-9BM.
3M™ Scotchlok™ Insulation Displacement Connector 558 is suitable for control circuit wiring, fixture wiring, appliance wiring, signal and PA systems and automotive/boat/RV wiring. It is 600V rated for building wire and 1000V rated for signs, fixtures and luminaires. The connector withstands temperatures of 221 degrees F (105 degrees C). UL Listed, CSA Certified and RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant.
