Graphics installer training

Expand your abilities with this two-day training workshop.

Note: To register for AIT, participants must have successfully completed VIT within the last 18 months.

Build on your strong foundational skills learned in VIT. Learn additional installation methods and receive ample time to practice and perfect your technique. A 3M expert is readily available to answer any questions you have and help you improve your form.

• Smooth Rivet Trailer Panels
• Corrugated Rivet Trailer Panels
• Sprinter Door Full coverage
• Caravan Back Door window
• Caravan Back Door lower panel
• HHR Rear ¼ panel, door and window
• HHR Front Fender and door
• HHR front bumper
• Rough Textured Brick Wall
• Floor Graphic
• Smooth Formica Wall
• Wall Test Kit

The AIT course consists of:

• 3 hours instruction
• Balance of class is hands-on training and practice

Graphics Installers who complete the AIT course are encouraged to use their new skills for 8-12 months prior to signing up for Level Three: Preferred Installation Testing (PIT). AIT and PIT courses cannot be taken back-to-back. You will have the opportunity to purchase select 3M™ Print Film and tools at discounted prices.

This challenging two-day program tests graphics installers who seek to be best in class.

Over your two days in PIT, you must demonstrate your knowledge and / or skill in both hands-on and written tests featuring the following applications:

• Vehicle wraps
• Boat wraps (written test only)
• Trailers with rivets and corrugations
• Smooth walls
• Textured surfaces
• Floor graphics

Other applications may be added at 3M's discretion. Participants will have had practice on each of the stations during their Level Two: Advanced Installation Training (AIT). Note: To register for PIT, participants are expected to have successfully completed AIT within the last 18 months.

• To pass, installers must receive a minimum mark of 80% on each of the stations listed above as well as the written test.
• To receive formal certification, the installer must complete, sign and submit an application/agreement form along with proof of individual or company liability insurance.
• Upon successful completion of the testing, 3M will issue an accreditation stating that the applicant is now a 3M Preferred Graphics Installer.
