How does the 3M™ E-A-Rfit Dual-Ear Validation System work?

The 3M™ E-A-Rfit Dual-Ear Validation System measures the effectiveness of the earplug or earmuff for the employee providing accurate, quantitative results.

  • A worker being tested with the 3M™ E-A-Rfit™ Dual-Ear Validation System.

  • A 29 db pass rating with a green checkmark icon.

    Pass.

A "pass" result means the hearing protection is inserted properly and provides sufficient protection for the worker's specific job.

    Fail.

A "fail" means the hearing protection is either not inserted properly or is the wrong type or size for the worker's ear canal.
